So Just Who Is This "Siege" Guy, Anyway ...?

I have been creating characters and stories ever since I learned to read and write; however, I am a relative new-comer to the world of comics. While attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for screenwriting & play-writing, I had the opportunity to intern for two semesters at Marvel, which is when I discovered the true depth of my passion and enthusiasm for this particular art form. It was a bit of a "light-bulb" moment, when it dawned upon me that this was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life!

Since that time, I have spent some time working in a shop (if ever you are in Campbell, CA, I cannot recommend Heroes Comics & Cards strongly enough!) and since moving back to NYC, have become a regular volunteer at MoCCA, and attended Andy Schimidt's Comics Experience classes twice. It was during the second class that I met many of my colleagues, who would become the founding members of Pronto Comics, an independent collective of talent focused on working together to create great comics! Through Pronto, and thanks to the skill of some brilliant artists, I have been fortunate enough to start getting stories into print. "Predator/Prey" is a noir werewolf tale drawn by Will Denizard, and appears in the bounty-hunter themed anthology For A Price. "Captain Awesome Is a Mother-F*****" is a kitschy 70s story drawn by Ken Frederick; detailing the origin of Twink the Wonder Kid, it is presented in latest Pronto anthology Kicked.

My first solo project, entitled Road to Apocalypse, debuted at the Fall 2010 Wizard World Big Apple Convention. An action-adventure road-trip featuring a pair of paranormal investigators, Part One, "Area 51", is drawn by Bill Wylie. Copies are currently on sale at Cosmic Comics here in NYC for $1. Look for Part Two, "Los Alamos", coming soon!

I cannot describe the joy and excitement of seeing stories that started as stray ideas in the back of my head actually come alive on the page. It's a truly exhilarating and fulfilling experience, and one I hope I will be privileged and lucky enough to repeat in the future.

I am currently working on some brand-new projects - please keep checking back for further updates. Upcoming stories include further adventures featuring the heroes from "Road to Apocalypse", a modern interpretation of Pinocchio, and a mini-series starring the all-new not-so-super hero 'Nap Boy'.

Thanks to all supporters for AIDSWalk NYC!

For the third year in a row, I participated in AIDSWalk NYC this past May, in honour of a very dear friend and online writing partner who lost his fight with this terrible disease two years ago. He has continued to be a source of strength and inspiration to me in all of my writing endeavours, pushing me to try new things, take risks, and do things that frighten me. I feel obligated to make the most of every chance and opportunity, and hope that in some small way, I will manage to make him proud.

I would like to extend my deepest thanks to everyone who donated for their kindness, generosity, and support!
